On August 2, Fufu County celebrated the 16th Kirgiz "Eastward Migration Festival" theatrical performance in the county's North Stadium. The performance kicked off with the song and dance "Happy China Walking Together", and the song "A Cup of Wine", the two-person turn "Watching Yangge", and the dance "Plum Blossom Fu" were staged in turn. The Ke dance "White Felt Hat" was choreographed, directed and performed by the Wujiazi villagers in the county, and the kindness and simplicity of the Ke people were vividly displayed through the dance display. It is understood that Fufu County is the only Kirgiz inhabited area in the country outside of Xinjiang, and the Kyrgyz population living in Fufu County accounts for 81.5 percent of the Kirghiz population in Heilongjiang Province. In recent years, the wealthy county party committee and the county government have attached great importance to the national culture, and the history and culture of the eastward migration have been well excavated and protected, and the Heilongjiang Kirgiz History Museum has been identified as the branch of the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum of Nationalities; Fufu Ranch Kirgiz Qijiazi Ethnic Village Museum was rated as a national demonstration base for ethnic unity and progress; The Manas Promenade, which displays the cultural treasure of the Kirgiz nationality and the epic of national heroes listed in the world's intangible cultural heritage, has become a typical patriotic education base in Fufu County.
In 2009, with the consent of the People's Government of Fufu County, the County People's Congress approved the designation of August 2 as the "Eastward Migration Festival" every year, so that the Kyrgyz compatriots have a festival of their own. In recent years, with the help of the platform of the "Eastward Migration Festival", the county party committee and the county government have continued to develop and expand the national economy, focusing on excavating national culture, improving the livelihood of the people, and allowing brothers and sisters of all ethnic groups to unite and live a happier and better life.
