Among them, the core protection area is 73.6 hectares, and the construction control zone area is 64.5 hectares.
It is reported that Jimei School Village is located in Jimei Street, Jimei District, known as "China's most aesthetic village", initiated by the famous patriotic overseas Chinese Chen Jiageng, the building integrates Western, Nanyang characteristics, and cleverly combines the characteristics of Chinese architecture, is the representative of "wearing a suit, wearing a bucket hat" Jiageng-style architecture.
Jimei School Village has been running for a hundred years, the village is composed of kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools, universities, in addition to the famous Jiageng Former Residence, Aoyuan, Dragon Boat Pond and other characteristic attractions, is a unique and gorgeous landscape in Xiamen, and was selected as the second batch of Fujian Provincial Historical and Cultural Blocks in 2017.
The provincial government approved the request to strengthen the overall protection of the historical and cultural block of Jimei School Village, and continue the spatial pattern and architectural style characteristics of the overseas Chinese township in southern Fujian. Within the scope of core protection, attention should be paid to the maintenance and continuation of the integrity of the style, rectify the buildings (structures) that are not in harmony with the historical style, and improve and enhance the surrounding environment. In the construction control zone, it is necessary to protect the traditional landscape corridor and continue the characteristics of the historical environment in which the mountains and seas are integrated.
