【Contest Process】
From the start of the race, China's Zhang Jun was in the lead group, with a time of 20 minutes and 19 seconds at the 5km mark, ranking first among all competitors.
The other two Chinese riders, Li Yandong and Wang Chaochao, finished 41st and 43rd respectively in 20:26 and 20:27 at the 5km mark, and were already about eight seconds away from the leading group.
Halfway through the 10km race, Zhang Jun took 40 minutes and 21 seconds, ranking second among the competitors and still in the leading group.
Li Yandong and Wang Chaochao successively received red cards because their feet were in the air, and the halfway time of the game was 41 minutes 03 seconds and 41 minutes 17 seconds respectively, temporarily ranking 40th and 42nd.

Ecuador's Pintado won the gold medal in 1 hour, 18 minutes and 55 seconds, winning the first gold medal in track and field at the Paris Olympics. Brazil's Bonfen won the silver medal with a time of 1:19:09. Bronze medalist Álvaro Martín of Spain clocked 1 hour, 19 minutes and 11 seconds.
