How to transfer in a flood
- Pay attention to flood warnings at any time, and familiarize yourself with safe evacuation routes in case of emergencies in advance. When moving in stagnant water, use a stick to constantly probe the road surface, stay away from telephone poles, etc.
- Walking in the water can be dangerous when the water reaches knee depth, so it is best to move with multiple people and connect them with ropes to avoid getting caught up in the rapid torrent.
- Once the water depth is waist-deep, do not continue to wade in the water, you can use boats, wooden rafts, door panels, etc., to do water transfer. When there is no condition for transfer, climb to nearby high ground, rooftops, or trees, and contact rescuers in time.
- If mobile phones and other communication devices are not available, they can also flash flashlights, blow whistles, shake flags, brightly colored clothing, etc., and send out distress signals.
- When a car stalls in a flood, abandon it and escape.

- Emergency rescue backpack practice. Prepare an empty backpack, 4 empty bottles of about 2 liters, tighten the caps, put two bottles in the bag, and tie the other two to the backpack straps.
- Plastic bottle life jacket manufacturing method. Prepare 10 plastic bottles of 500ml, stuff the bottles into the garment, tighten the cap from the outside and secure the plastic bottle to the garment. The plastic bottle is fastened to the front and back of the body, and the waist is tied tightly with a rope.
- Other floating materials. Materials suitable for floating, such as tubs, wood, and large pieces of styrofoam, can also be collected and processed into life-saving devices in case they are urgently needed.
