The 2024 NBA free agent market has seen a number of shocking trades. However, we can see that many teams are trading in a way that is trying to save money.

1. Klay Thompson-Dallas Mavericks

Pope turned down the Nuggets' request for a pay cut and signed a three-year, $66 million contract with the Orlando Magic. In the 2023-24 season, Pope averaged 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 46% from the field and 40.6% from three-point range. His three-point shooting and defense are all at the level of the same position.
5. Marshall Dallas Mavericks
