In accordance with the spirit of the "Notice on Holding the Fourth Cultural Festival for Disabled Persons in Hebei Province", on July 26, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Cultural Festival for Disabled Persons in Lubei District and the donation of Braille books by the District Disabled Persons' Federation to the District Library was successfully held in the Lubei District Cultural Center.
At the event site, a series of programs such as the wheelchair sign language dance "Grateful Heart" and the deaf-mute actor Qi Xiao'e's dance "Spring Boudoir Dream" were like vivid pictures, and every movement and expression condensed the hard work and sweat of the disabled actors. "We all have to believe, let our dreams become reality, and let self-confidence take us to fly...... "The Children Who Guardian the Stars" poem recitation written by autistic children pushed the performance to a climax and moved the audience to tears.
After the performance, accompanied by the staff of the District Disabled Persons' Federation, several blind friends came to the Braille reading room to experience the modern barrier-free reading facilities.
In recent years, the Lubei District Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Lubei District Disabled Persons' Federation have been committed to optimizing the cultural life of the disabled, and extending the tentacles of cultural and sports services for the disabled to thousands of households through the introduction of policies, deepening services, and barrier-free care. The District Disabled Persons' Federation has continuously expanded the coverage of cultural and sports services and enhanced the sense of cultural acquisition of the disabled people by donating Braille books, organizing and participating in cultural and sports activities for the disabled in the community, and distributing rehabilitation and sports equipment to the families of the disabled, so that the "spring cause" can take root and sprout in Lubei District.
