Later, Wang Shuzhen became the president of the village women's rescue committee. During the day, she organized the women of the village to paste cakes and prepare dry food for the Eighth Route Army; at night, she used the moonlight to collect shoes and clothes for the soldiers. After the founding of New China, Wang Shuzhen became the women's director of the village, who had a big and small matter, she was always the first to run to help. On September 3, 2015, Zhang Yuhua, as a member of the anti-Japanese War veterans' driving party, participated in the military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. When passing through Tiananmen, Zhang Yuhua gave a solemn military salute with his trembling right hand, and although his eyes were not as bright as before, they were full of affection. This scene has brought tears to countless people's eyes and memories are still fresh.
On September 10, 2017, Zhang Yuhua died of illness in Nanjing. On September 16, the body of General Zhang Yuhua was cremated in Nanjing. In accordance with his will, the ashes were returned to Wenden by his relatives and buried on Tianfu Mountain.
On December 24, 1937, the Jiaodong Special Committee led an anti-Japanese armed uprising in Tianfushan and founded the Third Army of the Shandong People's Anti-Japanese Salvation Army, with Zhang Yuhua as the instructor of the first squadron of the first brigade. After the surrounding people learned that the ashes of the old general were buried under a pine tree on Tianfu Mountain, people came to pay their respects almost every day. Sun Yuqi, the widow of General Liu Zhonghua, who participated in the Tianfushan Uprising and a 103-year-old veteran party member, learned of the symposium and wrote a letter in which he mentioned that the first stop of the Tianfushan Uprising leader Li Qi when he came to Jiaodong was in Xizicheng Village in Wendenying Town.
Wang Desong, former director of the Wenden Museum, and Deng Hua, former secretary of the party branch of Xizicheng Village, had studied that period of history in detail, and the two introduced that in 1936, Li Qi was introduced to Wendeng by Deng Ruxun, a Xizicheng man who worked in the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. In January of that year, Li Qi, alias "Wang Qi", dressed up as a merchant who sold four treasures of literary houses, traveled from Shanghai to Wenden Xizicheng Village by boat, and temporarily stayed at the home of Liu Qizhang, a communist party member. Two days later, Li Qi found Deng Ruxun's family and showed Deng Ruxun's handwritten letter to the Deng family. In order to cover her identity, Li Qi later lived in the Deng family and worshiped Deng Mother as a dry bride. Mother Deng was wise and sensible, and regarded him as her own.
