A few days ago, according to Porsche's official statement, the Cayenne internal combustion engine models currently on sale will continue to be sold together with a new generation of electric models, and will be available in three powertrain forms (internal combustion engine, hybrid and electric vehicle) until the next decade (2030). According to Porsche's official disclosure: "The brand is advancing the development of its powerful hybrid and internal combustion engine models at the same time. By 2030 and beyond, the SUV will be available in three powertrain versions worldwide. ”
Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG, has also confirmed that the fourth-generation Cayenne EV will go on sale in the middle of this century (or in 2026), and Porsche customers "will still be able to choose from a wide range of powerful and efficient internal combustion engines and hybrid models in the next decade", which also indicates that the Cayenne series will retain large-displacement power models such as 2.9T and 4.0T, and will achieve the "gasoline-electric" sales strategy by "further upgrading" the current third-generation Cayenne.
It is reported that Porsche's all-new Cayenne pure electric model will be based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform and will be driven by independent four motors, while the regular version may be driven by two front and rear motors, with a maximum range of 1,000 kilometers.
