Meet nocturnal bats and discover the active presence of felines...... A few days ago, 15 pairs of parent-child families from the Lvba residential area of Xinjing Town experienced the popular "Zoo Wonderful Night" trip in Shanghai. The nearly 3-hour night tour is full of dry goods, and the exclamations are continuous, and the friends of all ages are very enjoyable.
The evening breeze blows away the heat of the day, bringing a burst of coolness. In the science and education hall, children are excitedly engaging with animals. Barley bugs, crickets, terrapids, tortoises, lizards, and corn snakes...... When the animals appeared, the children were nervous and excited.
This time, instead of looking at the cute animals through the glass, you can touch them with your fingers to feel their unique skin texture and carefully observe their appearance. "Animal Full Contact" not only allows children to touch small animals with their own hands and feel the temperature of life, but also allows children to learn a lot of animal knowledge and correct attitudes towards animals under the professional explanation of teachers. From the abundance toys of small animals to the evolution of insects, and then to the habits and characteristics of nocturnal animals, the teacher's explanation also let everyone understand a lot of daily interactions between breeders and animals.
The zoo late at night is full of curiosity for children, and they can't wait to find out, will the tiger doze off? Do feline eyes really glow green? Do raccoon dogs that burrow and hide during the day quietly go out at night? When the warm-up of "Madness" is over, the real adventure begins. Friends of all ages held flashlights and wore headphones, and followed the team leader to quietly "sneak" into the night world of Shanghai Zoo, walking through the primate area, carnivore area, native animal area and other areas.
At the first stop of the night tour, everyone came to the bird area. Swans are leisurely grooming their feathers on the lakeshore, night herons and egrets are looking for their home, and sculptural waders are not moving.
Afterwards, everyone moved to the native animal exhibition area, where the animals that lived or still live in the Shanghai area live, including the authentic Shanghai "indigenous" raccoon dog, the fruit-loving civet mother and child, the same fox Nick in the "Zootopia", as well as the smallest yellow muntjac in the cervid family and the otter with high requirements for water quality.
Along the way, the tour leader introduced the interesting habits of many small animals. For example, when an otter preys on a fish, it will first eat the tail of the fish; Baby porcupines will not be pricked when they are milking, because the mother porcupine's breasts grow on the outside of the squeaky nest. What's even more unbearable is that in the corner of the porcupine "manor", there is a group of porcupines "all shivering" out collectively, it turns out that they come to a fixed place to wait in line to defecate before going to bed, which makes people feel the unique fun and harmony of nature.
Entering the beast area is a different shocking sight. Everyone shines their flashlights into the depths of the exhibition area, and a tiger unexpectedly appears in the illuminated light, staring at the visitors with a pair of bright eyes; During the day, lions and jaguars are lazy in the field; The lazy serval was in good spirits after nightfall...... These beasts, which may only be viewed from afar, show a more realistic and vivid side in the night. The agility and strength of the lynx allows children to see the perfect combination of speed and power in nature, not to mention its petite size, but it can prey on 200 kg red deer.
The entire tour route of the day covered almost all areas except the herbivorous area and the two climbing halls, that is, from the bird area to the native animal area to the prey area and the primate area. During the 2-hour night tour, friends of all ages followed the steps of the team leader and listened to a wealth of popular science knowledge along the way. The teacher skillfully used a non-strong flashlight to gently illuminate the figure of the animal, leading everyone to observe in depth, and with the simple explanation, so that the friends of all ages gained a lot.
Many of the participants walked into the Shanghai Zoo at night for the first time, and they said that they were eye-opening and saw the rare behavior of nocturnal animals, and got a more fulfilling experience in the park. "When you come to the zoo during the day, tigers, lions are sleeping, and those timid and shy animals are hard to see. But this night tour, we all saw it, they seemed very exciting, flexible, and the experience was very meaningful. One parent shared. The children also shared their favorites: "I like the lynx the most, it is a very fast beast. When the wolf saw it, he had to call 'big brother', and then quickly turn around and walk around. "The most interesting thing is the caracal, which makes a high-pitched sound."
As part of the 7th full-time public welfare summer nursery school "Le Chi Xuan" of the Green Eight Community, this "Animal Wonder Night" trip aims to enrich the children's summer vacation life. Each year, the summer nursery will carefully plan two outdoor activities for children to experience different fun during the holidays.
