Summary of the 2024 Radio Olympiad
This award is open to all licensed (qualified) amateur radio operators and SWLs. Communication or reception with a commemorative station (special station) suitable for the 2024 Radio Olympiad, calculated once per band and mode.
This period applies to communications or receptions made between July 26 (00:00 UTC) (8:00 UTC) and August 11 (23:59 UTC) (7:59 Beijing time) with commemorative (special) stations in the following list.
List of Radio Olympiad 2024 Memorial Stations (Special Stations) starting with the TM prefix:
The "Bronze", "Silver" and "Gold Awards" will be awarded based on the number of contacts with the Memorial Station (Special Station).
Radio France:
Bronze: 15 QSOs and at least five different special callsigns.
Silver: 30 QSOs with at least 10 different special callsigns.
Gold: 45 QSOs with at least 15 different special callsigns.
Radio Europe:
Bronze: 10 QSOs with at least 4 different special call signs.
Silver: 20 QSOs with at least 8 different special call signs.
Gold: 30 QSOs with at least 12 different special call signs.
Non-European Stations:
Bronze: 5 QSOs with at least 3 different special call signs.
Silver: 10 QSOs with at least 6 different special callsigns.
Gold: 15 QSOs with at least 9 different special call signs.
The award is free of charge and the application form and award can be downloaded from the dedicated website https://oly24.fr until December 31, 2024.
With many Olympic commemorative (special) stations already in service and in good condition (July 19, 2024 terms), some JA stations appear to be successfully communicating with TM prefix stations. In particular, the popular digital character communication "FT8" seems to be more rewarding.
