In order to thoroughly implement the "People's Republic of China Law on the Protection of Minors", further strengthen the management of Internet access service business premises, regulate the order of the Internet café market, and purify the environment for minors to grow up, recently, the Juvenile Procuratorial Work Office of the Alashankou Municipal People's Procuratorate and the Internet Security Brigade of the Municipal Public Security Bureau carried out joint inspection activities on Internet cafes in their jurisdiction.
During the inspection, the inspectors checked the recent registration records of Internet users, inquired about the business situation, screened the data of the Internet café's background management system, and checked the identities of the Internet users in the store. At the same time, targeted inspections were conducted on whether the business licenses of Internet cafes were complete, whether warning slogans were properly posted, and whether operators had the corresponding common sense, and it was found that the posting of "prohibiting minors from entering" slogans in some venues was not standardized, and the information on the personal identification cards of individual Internet users did not match, reflecting the problems of business personnel's weak awareness of performing the main responsibility of business entities and insufficient understanding of the protection of minors. In response to the above problems, the inspection team put forward rectification suggestions to the Internet café operators on the spot, and reminded them that minors must not be hired for "summer part-time jobs", and minors must not be accepted or accommodated in violation of laws and regulations.
In the next step, the Alashankou Municipal People's Procuratorate will continue to give play to its legal oversight functions, actively participate in the comprehensive governance of society in key areas involving minors, strengthen cooperation with all relevant departments to form a joint control mechanism, urge relevant departments to perform regulatory duties, jointly build a protective network for the healthy growth of minors, and truly implement laws and regulations related to the protection of minors, to create a positive social environment for the healthy growth of minors.
