Tiger Punch, August 25, 2019 Former NBA player and University of Michigan men's basketball coach Zhu Wan-Howard issued a personal statement, saying that he is not currently seeking an NBA head coaching position.

"There are reports that I am one of the candidates seeking a possible NBA coaching opportunity. While there may be more similar reports, I would like to clarify that I am not seeking or discussing becoming an NBA manager at this time. I'm the head coach of the University of Michigan men's basketball team! I'm lucky to work at the best university in the world, and I'm lucky to be able to mentor a wonderful group of young people. We have goals, dreams and a pedigree of champions to win every game, and that's what I'm working in now. Howard wrote.

According to previous reports, Juwan Howard currently attracts the attention of multiple NBA teams.

Howard served as an assistant coach under Heat coach Eric Spollstra before interviewing for coaching staff positions for the Lakers and Cavaliers.
