The table tennis balls produced by a sporting goods company in Guangzhou have become the official table tennis balls for the Paris Olympics, and this is the second time in 16 years that the company has become the (exclusive) supplier of Olympic events.
Although the number of Olympic orders itself is not large, since the endorsement and blessing of the Olympic orders, orders at home and abroad have come one after another.
As of July 16, the company has exported 22 batches of more than 650,000 official balls for the Paris Olympics to 15 countries and regions around the world, with a total value of about 2.1 million yuan.
Along with the Olympic orders, the company's badminton, volleyball, football and other sports equipment were exported, with a value of 6.8 million yuan, which has been exported to 20 countries and regions, a year-on-year increase of 13.5%.
Another outdoor sports equipment company in Guangzhou will make a product that will be unveiled at the climbing competition at the Paris Olympics. The clothing and equipment for the Chinese national team came from this company. In the past ten years, they have created four generations of competition uniforms for the national team.
Participating in international competitions has brought a steady stream of orders for enterprises, and also put forward higher requirements for product design. The fabric they use, a small strip of cloth 30 centimeters long and 20 centimeters wide, can support the weight of an object of 698 kilograms.
Along with the climbing apparel, there is also a climbing harness developed by the company.
Before 2008, there was almost no domestically produced climbing equipment in China, and climbing enthusiasts had to source from overseas. In 2008, the company set up a climbing equipment department, and gradually launched a more complete series of climbing products such as main locks, quick hanging, protectors, etc., and by participating in various domestic and foreign events, the brand has also changed from meeting "domestic demand" to "going to sea" and "fighting", and even became a partner of the International Climbing Federation (IFSC).
A company that produces artificial turf in Guangzhou has participated in many competitions such as the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, and the 2023 Chengdu Universiade. Taking advantage of the "east wind" of sporting events, the artificial turf company's sales have grown steadily.
The main raw material of artificial turf is polyethylene or polypropylene, which is also an appendage of a petrochemical industry. The company has the largest woven lawn machine in Asia, about 30 meters long and 15 meters wide, with a monthly production capacity of more than 15,000 square meters. The biggest difference from ordinary artificial turf weavers is that it can make a hybrid of artificial grass and natural grass.
In other words, the artificial turf's unique woven structure allows natural grass to grow and penetrate, and a material called "terahertz" used by the company forms a layer of electromagnetic radiation at the bottom of the turf, inhibiting the growth and development of bacteria, thus better protecting the turf.
