A few days ago, some netizens consulted the construction progress of the Ligui Tongxin Bridge and the park on the top of the Qiandeng Lake Water Purification Plant on the message board of the People's Daily Online: the Tongxin Bridge project has been established for many years, only the frame structure has been built on the river and it is still not through, the iron structure has rusted, the project has been suspended for more than 2 years, and there is no construction on site.
In this regard, the Guicheng Street Engineering Construction Center replied that due to the planning adjustment of the surrounding plots, the bridge structure could not be completed according to the original design conditions, and the bridge structure plan needed to be readjusted.
Due to the need to occupy the river channel for the implementation of the adjusted bridge structure plan, there is a conflict with the relevant regulations such as river management of water conservancy projects in Guangdong Province, and the original site construction cannot be promoted. At present, the project has been suspended, and the follow-up procedures of the project are being handled.

As for the park above the Qiandeng Lake Water Purification Plant, the Guicheng Sub-district Urban Construction and Water Affairs Office (Water Affairs) pointed out that the park is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2024, and is currently being carried out in an orderly manner in conjunction with related work.
It is understood that the Qiandeng Lake Water Purification Plant Upper Park project is located in the north of Haiba Road, covering an area of 30,000 square meters, and officially started construction in early July 2021, which is divided into two parts: an underground water purification plant and an outdoor park.
The underground part of the project is the main body of the water purification plant, including sewage treatment facilities, sludge treatment facilities, and production auxiliary facilities, with a daily treatment capacity of 100,000 cubic meters. The above-ground part will be built into an outdoor water park in the tide play light lake, and it is planned to set up rich amusement facilities such as large water slides, flying fish slides, and sunshine lawns, so as to add an outdoor leisure water entertainment place integrating water entertainment, outdoor experience and ecological leisure for the public.
