On July 20, an enthusiastic crowd near the railway station in Jingbian County found a "big bird" in a cornfield with a leg injury and could not walk, so they took it home and called the forest police brigade for help. According to the appraisal of the staff of the county protection station, the "big bird" is a gray crane, a national second-class protected wild animal. After a detailed examination, the staff found that the gray crane had a fractured right leg and a wing injury, so they disinfected and bandaged the wound and fed some water and food.
