The Broadway hit rock musical "Rock School" is based on the well-known comedy film of the same name, composed by Andrew · Lloyd ·Webber, the musical master who created "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Cats", and co-created with Julian ·Ferres, the screenwriter of "Downton Abbey", and Lawrence ·Connor, the director of the 2014 Broadway remake musical "Les Miserables".
"School of Rock" tells the story of Dewey, a down-and-out rock star, who has to enter a well-known elementary school to impersonate a teacher in order to earn extra money. However, Dewey didn't intend to teach only math to his students like ordinary teachers, but wanted to make this group of kids the coolest rock band ever!
