Recently, GAC Aion's second-generation AION V rolled off the assembly line globally. The styling of the new car has undergone significant changes and will be officially launched at the end of July.
In terms of styling, the second-generation AION V has a closed front face design, which is more streamlined and futuristic than the previous model. For the first time, the new car uses the "AION" lettering, which is located in the center of the front face, enhancing the brand's identity. The longitudinal LED rectangular light clusters on both sides are cleverly designed as "cyber dragon claws" elements, which not only have a sense of science and technology, but also echo the design language of the whole vehicle.
The side of the body adopts a large number of tough lines, with rectangular features, highlighting the temperament of a hard-core SUV. The new car features concealed door handles, which not only enhance the car's sporty look, but also reduce wind resistance.
The second-generation AION V measures 4,605 mm (length×), 1,854 mm (width), × 1,660 mm (height) and has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. Thanks to the lean and modular layout of the new generation AEP pure electric platform, its interior space has been significantly improved compared with the previous generation model.
The rear part of the car adopts a large-angle tailgate design, with a number of flat straight lines, which enriches the visual hierarchy. The tail light cluster adopts a dot matrix vertical design, which echoes the design of the headlight cluster and enhances the recognition of the vehicle.
The interior shape is simple, covered with a large number of soft materials, and the physical buttons are weakened a lot, equipped with a 14.6-inch floating central control screen.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a single-motor drive, with a maximum power of 150 kW and 165 kW, and a pure electric range of 20 km and 650 km.
It is worth mentioning that GAC Aion's smart ecological factory in Thailand has been completed, which can not only produce the second-generation AION V, but also share the production line with models such as Haobo HT. GAC Aion has deployed in dozens of countries and regions, such as Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East, and already has 3 overseas factories, so that it can easily realize vehicle exports and localized production.
