United States is preparing to implement tougher measures to force companies in Japan, Netherlands and other countries to cut off chip trade with China. It can be said that the means of the United States are all-encompassing.
Since the United States has taken an aggressive posture against China, then China will strike when it is time to act, there is no need to be polite to United States, and it must fight back to the end! Within a week, China imposed two countermeasures on United States, first sanctioning six United States military enterprises involved in arms sales to Taiwan and five senior executives, and then pointing out that the US deliberately spread false news and smeared the situation of Chinese rights in order to counter US officials who promoted sanctions against China. On July 17, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it was suspending a new round of arms control and non-proliferation consultations with United States because United States insisted on arms sales to Taiwan in defiance of China's repeated warnings and representations.
In fact, United States has constantly sought military talks with China not to ease relations and avoid strategic miscalculations. In 2023, China and the United States held arms control talks for the first time in five years, but did not reach any substantive results. Subsequently, senior United States officials claimed that they did not "get anything new" from the Chinese side. It can be seen that the Washington authorities have made no secret of the fact that the purpose of their arms control talks with China is to get China's military construction plan, which is obviously impossible. At present, the United States has completely stopped pretending, constantly interfering in the situation in the Taiwan Strait, openly touching China's "red line" in the Taiwan Strait, continuing to arm the island, and sending wrong signals to the "Taiwan independence" elements on the island. Lai Ching-te, the leader of the Taiwan authorities, thinks he has United States "support" and has asked the Taiwan military to strengthen its "asymmetric combat capability." Therefore, China's suspension of the new round of consultations with the United States is entirely caused by United States.
