The reporter learned from the District Planning and Resources Bureau that the adjustment of the control regulations of Area B, located in the Pujiang Caohejing Industrial Community in Minhang, was approved by the municipal government a few days ago. The planning area is about 7 kilometers away from the Qiantan area, which is an important industrial functional group in the science and technology innovation belt of Chenhang Highway in Pujiang Town, and will strive to build a benchmark demonstration area for industry-city integration that carries the construction of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center, and becomes an important growth pole for Shanghai's smart information and life and health industries.
The planning area extends to the Sanlu River in the east, Chenhang Highway in the south, Sanlu Highway in the west, and Zhongxin River in the north, with a total land area of about 1.37 square kilometers. The total construction scale of the project is about 2 million square meters, of which the industrial building scale is about 1.6 million square meters (the data includes spare land). The approval of the plan will further improve the function of Caohejing industrial community and help Pujiang New Town move towards a beautiful new town with ecology, science and technology, and humanity.

It is planned to implement the functional orientation of the master plan of Pujiang New Town, coordinate the relationship between residential and industrial development, and add about 430,000 square meters of living functions such as residential, commercial, basic education and community public service facilities in Area B. It is planned to build an industry-city integration vitality ring with industrial and living supporting functions, and provide all-round services for the employment and living groups of the industrial community. In addition to biomedical R&D, precision medicine R&D, and light intelligent manufacturing, high-quality communities are also planned, including commercial services such as catering and leisure, community services such as medical and health care, and life services such as recreation centers.
Turning the ring into a network to build a convenient transportation connection. The planned road network structure is adjusted from an internal ring road structure to a grid structure to strengthen the transportation connection between the area and other surrounding areas.

The planning takes into account the short-term construction needs and long-term development reservations, among which the industrial land along Chenhang Highway and Sanlu Highway meets the recent industrial location, and the land along Xinren Road and Jiantuo Road is planned to reserve future flexible development space in the form of spare land.
