Some people say that with the development of China's navy, once Taiwan is recovered, China's Pacific (or Asia-Pacific) fleet will come into being, which is almost inevitable.

Where is China's Fourth Fleet? Could it be that the network is talking about the "West Sea Fleet" with 22 advanced Type 928B high-speed patrol boats stationed on Pangong Lake? Of course not.
China's Fourth Fleet currently has about 150 warships of more than 1,000 tons, of which 85 warships have anti-ship cruise missiles, and some of the other warships have not only helicopters, but also naval guns and water cannons, which play a huge role in defending the motherland's maritime frontiers and safeguarding China's maritime interests. This fleet is the China Coast Guard Force, which was established in 2018 by decision of the third meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress.
As a matter of fact, the navy is a deterrent force in safeguarding national sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, and the coast guard is the force that truly safeguards the country's maritime rights and interests. For example, in the initial Sino-Japanese dispute over the Diaoyu Islands, Japan sent maritime protection vessels, and China's fishery administration, maritime supervision, maritime affairs, and anti-smuggling forces dwarfed those of other people's maritime protection vessels, and it was difficult to compete with Japan's maritime protection forces by safeguarding the country's maritime rights and interests.
Since the reorganization of the China Coast Guard, the mainland's coast guard has developed rapidly, especially the receipt of some warships and frigates from the navy, which has led to the rapid growth of China's coast guard force. At present, China's naval strength is stronger than that of United States and Japan, and it can be said that it has the strongest coast guard fleet in the world. Currently, Japan has 70 coast guard vessels and United States has 60 coast guard vessels, which together are about the same as China's coast guard vessels.
In addition to its daily duties, the China Coast Guard actually performs tasks such as search and rescue, inspection and smuggling, and fishery administration and law enforcement. The attributes of the "coast guard" have been redefined, bringing it closer to the attributes of national defense, and a lot of resources have been invested in it. The Chinese coast guard fleet is playing an irreplaceable role in defending China's sovereignty and safeguarding maritime interests. In particular, it is playing an increasingly important role in defending the sovereignty and interests of the disputed islands.
For example, since the Kinmen collision incident, the Chinese coast guard has withdrawn jurisdiction over Jinxia and other waters, boarded and inspected Taiwan's passenger ships and fishing boats, and played an irreplaceable role in safeguarding China's rights and interests in the South China Sea, and even United States warships did not dare to act rashly. In particular, after the implementation of the Coast Guard Law of the People's Republic of China and the newly formulated Provisions on Administrative Law Enforcement Procedures for Coast Guard Agencies, China's maritime rights and interests can be safeguarded in accordance with the law.
Through the integration of internal institutional reforms, China has integrated the China Coast Guard and integrated it into the armed police and become a military unit. Then, through a large amount of resource investment, we will build an unprecedented coast guard law enforcement force, and use such a powerful force to maintain the stability of our maritime frontier!
As the mainland's "Fourth Fleet", no matter how strong its strength is, it is essentially a law enforcement agency, and even if there is a conflict with the opponent in the relevant sea area, the scale and intensity are controllable, not to mention that the coast guard has a powerful Chinese naval fleet behind it, which will not detonate the flames of war between major powers. This is also the root cause of the fear of the Chinese coast guard in United States, Japan, including Korea and the Philippines.
