Apple's Vision Pro, which was released in June last year, has finally landed in the domestic market recently.
Compared with the popularity of the US market at the beginning of the year, when the pre-sale market opened within an hour and the shipment was delayed for several months, the market response of the Chinese version of the Vision Pro was relatively lukewarm.
After Sohu Technology tried to order Vision Pro on the official website, it was found that the order could be picked up in the offline store the next day. Zhou Hua, an analyst at CINNO, told Sohu Technology that although the Vision Pro has just been listed and there is no monitoring data, it is currently in stock in stores, and the sales situation should not be too good.
It has been revealed that Apple has paused the development of the next-generation Vision Pro in favor of a "cheaper headset" due to the slowdown in sales of the Vision Pro after its launch.

Experience the Vision Pro in less than a day and choose to return it
I am a fruit fan, my first mobile phone was Apple's, and now I will change to a new Apple mobile phone every year, including headphones, watches and other electronic products are also Apple's.
Since the release of the Vision Pro last year, I have been paying attention to this product, and I have read a lot of reviews from technology bloggers, and I feel that it is a very novel way to interact, so I bought it as soon as the national version was released. Last Friday, I picked up the goods in the Jinan Apple offline store, and there were not many people in the store, only a few people were trying them on.
Before I bought it, I had high expectations for the Vision Pro. On the one hand, I was curious, because many bloggers gave me amazing feedback, and on the other hand, I wanted to know what changes this product could bring to my life and work.
Once I got the product, I was able to experience all the commonly used applications. For example, Tencent Video, my viewing experience is quite shocking, that is, a very large and high-definition 4K screen appears in front of you, like being in a movie theater.
I also tried bilibili, but because this software is not adapted to the version of Vision Pro, it is not a native app, so the experience is average. There are a lot of tabs and item bars on bilibili, so the controls are not very precise, such as when you want to select a certain video to watch, or to move forward, backward and adjust the volume, etc., it is easy to touch it by mistake.
In addition, I also experienced using WPS for office, and I felt that the virtual keyboard of Vision Pro was particularly difficult to use, and I needed to lock the letters on the keyboard with my eyes to type, or use my hands to click on the points one by one, including text editing, which could not move to the desired position quickly and smoothly like a mouse.
In terms of wearing experience, I think it's a little heavy, and the battery life is average. I remember when I first took it home, the battery ran out after just over an hour of experience, so I had to experience it while charging.
I watched the evaluation video before, many people will wear it when taking the subway or walking, but this weight can't be worn for a long time, I even have a very general experience of walking at home, and the summer in Jinan is very hot, and it is almost impossible to wear it outdoors.
After about 20 hours of experience, I chose to return the product (Apple's official policy in China: no reason to return within 14 days) because it did not meet my expectations. On the one hand, there are very few native applications at present, and many software are not adapted, and on the other hand, it is difficult for me to have the urge to use this product all the time at this stage.
If the price of the Vision Pro is less than 10,000 yuan, I may also want to stay, but it costs nearly 30,000 yuan, so I want to have more functions, and now it is more of a big screen, the role of a player.
After the experience, I would recommend the rich second generation who is not bad for money to buy, ordinary people still have to wait, after all, there is no just need to apply.

I have been purchasing Vision Pro for 5 months
I have used both the Bank of China and the American version of the machine, and the ecology of the Bank of China version is relatively not so rich, probably due to the review reasons, some APPs have not yet been put on the shelves. However, now most game and streaming media manufacturers are actively adapting, and the ecosystem should gradually iterate and improve.
I purchased Vision Pro from the United States in February, because I am an Apple ecosystem developer and I want to do development projects related to Vision Pro, and I myself like Apple's products. At that time, the purchase price was about 30,000 yuan, and the premium was more than 5,000 yuan.
After more than 5 months of experience, I think it is beyond expectations. Because I have Meta Quest, Pico, OPPO and other brands of products, the comprehensive experience of Apple is still much stronger, the integrity of the product is very high, and the interaction and UI design are relatively original.
But in the past 5 months, I have used Vision Pro significantly less frequently than other devices, such as mobile phones and computers, and it is not as convenient to wear and interact with these platforms, and I will only play for an hour a few days. However, I am a light user, and the heavy users around me also play for three or four hours a day.
I usually use Vision Pro to watch movies, socialize, play games, etc., I prefer the "Persona" function, which allows me to socialize with my friends more immersively, as if a real person is by my side, and I talked with my friends all night last weekend for two nights.
Some interactive features are also very good, for example, when I high-five my friend, there will be a high-five animation in the space, and every time my friend speaks, I can even distinguish his position, and I can hear the change in the distance of the sound when someone is moving.
However, the Vision Pro has relatively few applications in the work side and does not meet the requirements of productivity tools. For example, typing, or editing videos, programming and other professional operations will still be awkward, because it is not like a physical keyboard or mouse that can directly give you strong feedback.
Also, after wearing it for a long time, the cheeks will be more painful. Maybe in the beginning, I will ignore some of the pain because of the novelty, but after a long time, I may still use TV to watch movies.
Apple has a particularly big advantage over other manufacturers in the ecological area. For example, I often see some developers in the community who can independently develop an app after 3 to 6 months of self-study, and the learning cost is very low.
One of the Vision Pro software I developed made more revenue in the last month than the total revenue of my previous five apps on iOS combined. So this is also an opportunity for developers, after all, it is relatively early, and there will be relatively less competition.
Overall, I personally think that the Vision Pro is worth buying, because it is indeed a very high-level product at this stage. If you are an industry practitioner, or an electronics enthusiast with relatively abundant funds, I would recommend buying it.

I watched the news of the sale of the Bank of China on the 14th, and made a reservation directly on the official website on the same day, and the booking required a series of operations such as measuring the head circumference and selecting myopia lenses. It took about ten days before I actually got the goods.
I didn't have an offline experience, so I directly placed an order to buy a product of nearly 30,000 yuan, mainly because Vision Pro has a 14-day free refund policy, and it is more troublesome to make an offline experience appointment.
I'm an Apple fan myself, and I'm not particularly enthusiastic about my phone, computer, and watch, and I'm willing to try out any new features or products, such as the iPhone 10, which was the first to support Face ID, and the phones that support generative AI, including this first MR product.
After experiencing it for a week, I found that Vision Pro is still relatively lacking in the content ecology, and there are only more than 10 native applications supported by Vision Pro, such as Migu Video, WeChat, etc., although you can download the iPad version, but obviously the experience is not so good.
In terms of use, I usually use the Vision Pro for work and movies. There are still relatively few VR movies adapted to Vision Pro, for example, the VR short film in Migu Video is only a few minutes, and I spent a few hours watching all the original video resources.
IN OFFICE, I USE MAC TO WRITE DOCUMENTS ON THE SCREEN. The biggest advantage of Vision Pro is an infinite screen, the visual effect is very clear, the surrounding environment can be virtualized, and you can work in the snowy mountains and seaside anytime and anywhere, but the disadvantage is that it is easy to misoperate, about 10 times will make one or two mistakes.
However, I still prefer to return this product at the moment and will not keep this product, the biggest problem is that it is too heavy to use for a long time, this feeling is a bit like wearing swimming goggles, and you will feel pressed by something around your eye sockets.
In my own experience, my neck feels very sore when I sit and wear it for half an hour at most, and it will be better when lying down, but it can only be used for about an hour and a half, because it will be very uncomfortable if my eyes are pressed for a long time.
If it's light enough to sit and use it for 4 hours straight, then I would choose to keep this product, because at least I can use it all the time in the office, which is equivalent to having a virtual private screen in the office, which can be used immersively.
With this weight, I can't imagine what kind of people can use it for a long time, maybe astronauts in a zero-gravity environment are suitable for this product, and from the current experience, I think it is difficult for the Vision Pro to replace the phone.
