On July 6, 2024 local time, more than 1,000 participants participated in the 59th International Sundschwimmen event in the waters of Strelasund on the island of Rügen, in Altefahr, West Pomerania, Germany.
The water temperature is around 18°C, and people have to complete a swim between the Baltic island of Rügen and the Hanseatic city of Stralsund.
