In the banquet hall of the University of Brussels Foundation, a unique Moutai tasting was successfully held on June 14. The tasting was carefully planned by Apollo Trading Company, a Belgian channel distributor of Moutai, which not only brought an unforgettable tasting experience to European Moutai lovers, but also further strengthened the cultural exchanges between China and Europe.
Professor Erik de Coulenner, Executive Director of the University of Brussels Foundation, Swan Bisp, special guest speaker of the EU-China Business Summit, leaders and board members of the EU-China Chamber of Commerce and a number of Belgian guests participated in the tasting event.
The tasting takes place in a ballroom inspired by European architecture. Sophie Hoebeke, the chief bartender of Apollo Trading Company, combined Moutai Prince with kumquat liqueur, ginger syrup, tonic water and other blends to bring a new flavor of Moutai cocktail, which was deeply loved by guests.
In order to further enhance the guests' awareness of Moutai, Apollo Trading Company created a tasting experience from a new perspective, allowing guests to deeply appreciate the flavor and cultural connotation of Moutai. In the fragrance smelling session, soy sauce, shiitake mushrooms, coffee beans, roses, osmanthus, dried strawberries and other materials were selected to enrich the guests' feelings of fragrance, and snacks such as Belgian chocolate, Belgian classic caramel biscuits, Chinese characteristic lo-mei, and Chinese zongzi were added to the tasting session, opening a unique tasting journey for the guests.
Under the guidance of Chief Bartender Sophie Hoebeke, the guests followed the tasting method of "looking, smelling, tasting and style" to taste the two products of Feitian Moutai and Moutai 1935 in 2023. During the tasting process, Wang Huan, manager of Apollo Trading Company, and Sophie Hoebeke, chief bartender, had an in-depth exchange with the guests and answered their questions about Moutai.

The tasting coincided with the China-Europe Business Summit held in Brussels, where more than 100 Chinese and European enterprises and institutions gathered.
