On July 8, affected by heavy rainfall in southern Shaanxi, three trains K15, K997 and T237 were forced to turn back at Wanyuan Railway Station in Sichuan, and 3,611 passengers were temporarily stranded.
The Ankang Train Depot of China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Company immediately instructed the station to negotiate the transfer connection plan with the local public security bureau, transportation bureau and other local governments at the first time. The station carries out one-to-one service and guidance and explanation work in key positions such as platforms, waiting halls, entry and exit gates, and ticket gates, and carries out refund and change services for passengers.
The local government dispatched more than 230 emergency support personnel and volunteers to the railway station to quickly devote themselves to the work of order maintenance, dispatch and transfer, and medical assistance for stranded passengers.
As of 16 o'clock on the same day, a total of 47 vehicles and 1,720 people have been transferred and resettled at the scene, and the remaining stranded passengers are still in the process of being transferred.
