20 years ago, in the dusty "southern suburbs" of Taicang, with the sound of frogs, with the first pile laid in the new campus of Suzhou Chien-shiung Vocational and Technical College, since then, this higher vocational college has firmly rooted itself in Taicang, the hot land of reform and opening up.
In 2004, Chien-shiung Vocational and Technical College was officially established with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, and was later renamed Suzhou Chien-shiung Vocational and Technical College. The college has passed two rounds of talent training level evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and has been selected as a demonstration higher vocational college in Jiangsu Province and a high-level vocational school with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province, and has been awarded the Advanced Unit of Vocational Education in Jiangsu Province and the National Teaching Achievement Award. Since the implementation of the comprehensive assessment of the high-quality development of Suzhou Municipal Universities, Chien-shiung College has always maintained the first grade, and has achieved a leap from "standardized school-running" to "characteristic school-running" and then to "high-level school-running".
In the past 20 years, from No. 2 Dongcang Road to No. 2 Dongcang Road, to No. 1 Chien-shiung Road, the East and West Campus across the bridge, and then to the "dual campus" open school; From only more than 100 teachers at the beginning of the establishment of the school, to more than 430 faculty members today, 93% of the full-time teachers have master's degrees, including 73 doctoral teachers, accounting for 20%, and more than 200 people have obtained the title of engineer, accounting for 85%; From more than 300 students and 7 majors in the first session, to more than 9,000 students and 34 majors today, including 8 joint undergraduate programs, with an average annual undergraduate enrollment of more than 300 people.

Over the past 20 years, Chien-shiung College has worked together with schools and enterprises to overcome technical difficulties and stimulate innovation vitality, from establishing a single scientific research project, to building a scientific research platform and being approved as an engineering technology research center of Jiangsu Province, to jointly establishing a city-wide industry-education consortium and an industry-education integration community with local governments and enterprises. Up to now, more than 6,000 papers have been published, more than 500 high-level papers such as core journals, and more than 100 international high-level papers such as SCI.

From sporadic social training, to the school-local construction of "Hutai Craftsman College", "Suzhou Port Craftsman College", "Auxiliary Police College" and other skill training carriers, to the creation of the high-quality drama "Pursuit of Wu Chien-shiung", and on the highest stage of the Jiangsu Provincial College Student Drama Exhibition, over the past 20 years, Chien-shiung College has insisted on promoting the spirit of scientists and craftsmen, and inheriting the culture of Loudong.
