Jilin No. 1 Gaofen 02D Satellite is a high-resolution optical remote sensing satellite developed by Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., which can obtain high spatial resolution color still images of Earth observation, and will provide remote sensing data services for China's land resources monitoring, mineral resources development, smart city construction, forestry resources census, ecological environment monitoring, public emergency health and other fields.
The Kuaizhou-1 A rocket (Yaosi Arrow), which carries out the launch mission, is a small solid carrier rocket launched by Aerospace Science and Industry Rocket Technology Co., Ltd., which has an international common interface, mainly providing launch services for 300-kilogram low-orbit small satellites, with the characteristics of high flight reliability, high orbiting accuracy, short preparation cycle, low support demand, and low launch cost. The same batch of Yaowu Arrows, named "Kuaizhou • Xinzhou", has completed the final assembly test and then chose the opportunity to launch. Since its first commercial launch mission on January 9, 2017, the Kuaizhou-1A rocket has successfully completed 10 launch performances, successfully sending 20 satellites into the intended orbit.
