Since arriving at the front line of flood control in Hunan, the field medical team of the Hunan Armed Police Corps Hospital has insisted on being on duty on the front line of the task, taking the initiative to go to the masses and officers and soldiers who have medical needs, interspersed with actions in different disaster sites, bringing the "outpatient desk" to the floodside, on the embankment, and at the door of the affected villagers, and the members of the medical team have traveled nearly 800 kilometers, with an average daily journey of nearly 30,000 steps, and every step embodies the mission and responsibility of the "people's military doctor"!
Every morning at 6 a.m., the members of the medical team begin their day's journey. "As long as it is a little earlier, we can see more villagers and officers and soldiers." Zheng Dajun, a military doctor, said. Due to the distance between the affected sites and the large demand for medical treatment, the members of the medical team were divided into three teams every day and interspersed with the mission sites, covering Changshou Town, Hukou Town, Tongshi Town, Rongjiawan Town, Xiangyin County, Huarong County and other places. They carried medical kits to all corners of the country, followed the mission troops, and immediately provided medical treatment to the officers and soldiers who were injured in the dangerous situation.
In Hukou Town, the medical team found that the masses had great medical needs, so they set up temporary free clinics, and many people came to consult after hearing the news. Knowing everyone's anxiety and difficulty, the team members patiently answered questions for each villager, instructed precautions, and instructed how to use medicine.
Knowing that some villagers lacked medicine and had difficulty moving after the flood, the medical team members also gave them medicines and left contact information for follow-up medical consultation. When leaving Hukou Town, the local villagers and health center staff held the hands of the medical team members and were reluctant to let them go: "We still need you, you must come again!" ”
In order to repay the trust of the military and civilians, the members of the medical team followed the mission unit closely from dawn to late at night, became the most solid "health backing" for the officers and men, and comforted the masses along the way, donated medicines and daily necessities, and helped everyone tide over the difficulties together. At the camping sites and mission sites for officers and men, the team members also took advantage of the time between tasks to give 16 health lectures and education on the prevention of heat stroke, skin diseases, schistosomiasis, and colds for officers and men.
"We will continue to send medical supplies from the rear to ensure that the medical needs of every military and civilian can be met!" There are no rhetoric, only deeds, the medical team of the Hunan Armed Police Corps Hospital will continue to measure the front line of flood control with footsteps, and silently protect the health of the military and civilians!
