29 countries are vying to send troops to the Asia-Pacific region, and German and French fighters are flying around China, so what is the purpose of the 29 countries sending troops to the Asia-Pacific region? What is the specific flight path of the German and French fighters? In this regard, the Chinese counter-encirclement began, and the PLA Navy attacked in seven ways.
The 2024 U.S.-led Rim of the Pacific joint maritime exercise is underway, which began in Hawaii on June 27 and will run through August 1. According to the information released by the US Navy, this biennial joint military exercise involves 40 surface ships, 3 submarines, army units from 14 countries, more than 150 aircraft and more than 25,000 officers and soldiers from 29 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Israel, etc.
And these 29 countries are vying to send troops to the Asia-Pacific region, and the purpose is also obvious, that is, to cooperate with the so-called "Indo-Pacific strategy" of the Biden administration and target China. Why? Here we have to mention a key item in the "Rim of the Pacific Exercise," that is, sinking the large amphibious assault ship "Tarawa" with a displacement of 40,000 tons with live ammunition, and the participating troops will use carrier-based weapons, aircraft-mounted weapons, and land-based anti-ship weapons to carry out multiple live-fire strikes on the target ships. Some US media quoted US officials and scholars as saying that this is in response to China's development of large amphibious assault ships and aircraft carriers in recent years, as well as the possibility of using these ships in a potential conflict in the Taiwan Strait. In other words, this is also the United States and its allies preparing for "the PLA may attack Taiwan by force with amphibious assault ships."
Facts have proven once again that the real purpose of the United States in deliberately attracting more than 20 countries to participate in the "Rim of the Pacific" exercise led by the United States is not at all aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. On the contrary, the United States wants to take the opportunity to coerce other countries to join the small circle dominated by the United States, set off bloc confrontation in the Asia-Pacific region, and serve the geostrategic service of the United States to suppress other adversaries. There is no doubt that such US-Western military exercises will only exacerbate regional tensions and undermine regional peace and stability. With the comprehensive escalation of the US encirclement of China, the frequency of fighter jets from European countries in the skies over the Asia-Pacific region is also increasing. For example, German and French military planes have already begun to fly around China.
Not long ago, US media sources pointed out that Germany, France, and Spain are preparing an unprecedented military exercise, in which dozens of combat planes from three European countries will fly from Europe to the Asia-Pacific region and practice actual combat with a number of regional partner countries. Among them, Germany dispatched 8 "Typhoon" fighters, 12 "Tornado" fighter-bombers, 4 A-400 transport planes, and 4 H-145M helicopters; France dispatched 4 Rafale fighters and 3 A-400 transport aircraft; Spain has 4 "Typhoon" fighters, 2 A-400 transport planes, and 1 A-330 transport plane.
After leaving Europe, the air forces of these three countries will first fly across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States, participate in the "Arctic Guardian" military exercise held by the US military in Alaska, arrive in Japan by flying over the Pacific Ocean, and participate in the "Japan Sky" military exercise with the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force, and then the German task force will be divided into two, one part of the fighters will go to Hawaii to participate in the "Rim of the Pacific Military Exercise", and the other part will fly to Australia to participate in Australia's "Black Asphalt" large-scale military exercise with more than 20 military aircraft from 20 countries, and finally, The air forces of the three countries will also travel to India to participate in the Indian version of the "Red Flag Military Exercise", codenamed "Tarang-Shakti". It is not difficult to see from the flight trajectories of the air forces of the three countries mentioned above that it has obviously flown in a large circle around China.
On the one hand, the purpose of Western countries' growing attention to the Asia-Pacific region is to show the importance they attach to the Asia-Pacific region in front of the world. On the other hand, it is obviously cooperating with the United States to send a military deterrence signal to China under the guise of so-called "freedom of navigation" to suppress and contain China. In response to this situation, China is bound to take corresponding countermeasures. At present, the PLA Navy has launched seven sorties, including the formation of the Chinese Navy's Type 071 dock landing ships Wuzhishan and Qilianshan and Type 052D destroyer Hefei, which have rushed to Tanzania, an East African country, to participate in the "Peace and Unity-2024" joint exercise;
In addition, the Chinese Navy's Type 052D destroyer Zibo arrived in the South Pacific island nation of Tonga on July 3 to participate in the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Tonga Navy. At the same time, the PLA Shandong aircraft carrier led an aircraft carrier formation consisting of a 052D missile destroyer, two 054A missile frigates and a Type 901 integrated supply ship appeared in the South China Sea to patrol the northwest of Luzon Island in the Philippines. From these movements of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) mentioned above, it is obvious that while the United States is trying to encircle China by enlisting its allies, the PLA's counter-encirclement has also begun.
