The driver did not expect to encounter a "patience training camp" at the Fuzhou Zhanggang toll station. He was made difficult by the staff at the toll booth, and even asked to show a certificate that he didn't need at all.
At 10 o'clock in the evening, two large transport trucks drove on the highway to Fuzhou. In order to complete the transportation task, these two vehicles had to exceed the height limit, and they applied for the "overrun permit" in advance and arranged for the escort vehicle to accompany them, which can be said to be prepared.
When they drove confidently to the Zhanggang toll gate in Fuzhou, they were stopped by a female staff member. The drivers hurried away and hurriedly showed all their documents and explained that they had gone through the relevant procedures, but the other party was unmoved and insisted that "the road administration department must agree to release it".
Seeing the time pass minute by minute, the drivers stayed up all night, and finally contacted the road administration department at about 1 o'clock in the morning. I thought that things had finally taken a turn for the better, but unexpectedly, the two toll collectors put forward a new request: "A certificate must be issued, otherwise you will not want to pass!"
After a night of tossing, the drivers were exhausted. They don't understand why they should be harassed when the formalities are complete. The expression on the female staff member's face was even more infuriating, as if she was silently declaring: "I just want to embarrass you, what can you do with me?"
In fact, there are many similar incidents. In September last year, there was also an incident at the Sanhedong toll station in Hebei Province where the driver was harassed for more than 10 hours. The deputy station manager blocked a truck that was not overweight on the grounds of "data anomalies". It wasn't until the incident got big that he changed his words and said that "it was a misunderstanding" and was suspended.
Earlier, in May, Xu Haiyan, the head of Fuzhou Yongtai Wutong Toll Station, was "famous for 3 points". She insisted on asking a fruit vendor in his 60s to remove all 3,000 boxes of apples from the car for inspection, threatening to "pay a fine of 4,398 yuan if she didn't move", playing a small power to the fullest.
One vivid example after another reflects the faces of some grassroots "petty officials." They hold a little power in their hands and toss the common people with impunity. The pleasure on the female staff's face when she stopped the driver was more like swearing her identity as a "handicap master", and she couldn't wait to engrave the word "difficult" on her face.
In a society governed by the rule of law, no one can be above the rules, and abuse of power will eventually be run over by the wheels of history.
