In Cheng Xiaodong's view, the work "Xue Xian" gives him enough space to use his imagination to try some new ideas that he has always wanted to try. In the filming of "Xuexian I.", Cheng Xiaodong did not adopt the green screen + special effects shooting method commonly used in a large number of fantasy movies in China, but insisted on live shooting, and also tended to solid martial arts actions in terms of playing.
