Chapter 1
Bomi Glacier
Bomi is a small town where glaciers can be seen in all seasons.
In spring, pink peach blossoms are dotted between snow-capped mountains, fields and forests, with a variety of colors distinct; In summer, the crystal clear glaciers contrast with the abundant barley fields; In autumn, under the ice and snow, everything becomes colorful, like a palette; In winter, Bomi is nestled in the mountains and surrounded by beautiful waters, and the glaciers become even more spectacular.
There are many glaciers in Bomi, including the most beautiful glacier in China - Midui Glacier, China's largest marine glacier - Kachen Glacier, and 2040 glaciers such as Zhuxi Glacier, Zepu Glacier and Langqiu Glacier.
Glaciers are an important part of the ecological environment of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and an extremely important solid freshwater resource. In the context of global warming, glaciers on the Tibetan Plateau are generally in a state of retreat, and the continuous retreat of glaciers will exacerbate the instability of glaciers.
Recently, the Department of Ecology and Environment of the Tibet Autonomous Region said that our region has always adhered to the idea of "development in protection and protection in development", and formulated the "Tibet Autonomous Region National Ecological Civilization Highland Construction Plan (2021-2035)" and the "Tibet Autonomous Region's "14th Five-Year Plan" Period Ecological and Environmental Protection Plan, which clearly involve the development and construction of glacier resources.
The protection of the glaciers in Bomi is urgent.
Chapter 2
Bomi environment
Gang spruce forests become the best habitat for flora and fauna
The excellent environment breeds high-quality tea plantations
Gavaron has been hailed by botanists as "God's Back Garden"
Human beings and nature are interdependent communities with a shared future, and nature is our closest friend, who whispers the miracle of life in her unique language.
In Bomi, countless mountains and valleys echo each other, and countless pastures and forests compete for beauty, which is like a three-dimensional picture that slowly unfolds full of vitality.
In winter and spring, more and more black-necked cranes inhabit Yigong Lake or wetlands in Yigong Township; Walking into the spruce forest, the most beautiful forest in China, moss and mushrooms grow wantonly, cattle and horses take a leisurely walk, butterflies and beetles are everything; The excellent ecology has also given birth to the world's highest tea farm, Yigong Tea Farm.
In the Gavaron Scenic Area, which many botanists call "God's Back Garden", there are many breathtaking new species in the Himalayas, and in summer, wild strawberries, green velvet artemisia, plateau primroses and other plants bloom one after another, which is fascinating.
Chapter 3
As a tourist
How to protect Bomi's environment and glaciers
It doesn't matter how you enter Tibet
When you come to Bomi, you are the master of nature
We should take action to protect the life and vitality of nature
Listen to nature and be a friend of nature
「 Environmental Protection 」
How to protect the Bomi environment
Low-carbon travel: It is recommended that tourists or local citizens in Tibet try to choose one car for multiple people as much as possible to reduce carbon emissions, and choose to walk or bicycle for short-distance travel in the local area, and take the initiative to develop healthy, green and environmentally friendly travel habits.
Don't throw garbage in nature: When hiking in the spruce forest or driving on National Highway 318, develop the habit of consciously collecting the garbage generated, and then dispose of it in a place where there are garbage cans.
Protect local flora and fauna: Bomi has a weak ecological environment, so do not pick wild flowers and grasses at will, and do not disturb wild animals.
「 Glacier Conservation 」
How to protect the Bomi Glacier
Do not destroy the ecology around the glacier: The ecology around the glacier is weak, do not destroy the surrounding forests and other vegetation at will, and at the same time, citizens can also plant trees to absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen through the photosynthesis of green plants, which is also a good method.
Don't climb glaciers at will: When glaciers melt, citizens should not camp around glaciers at will, and behaviors such as climbing glaciers will also accelerate glacier melting.
Listen attentively
We are not far from nature
Come to Bomi
I hope each of us can contribute
People and animals are sustainable here
