Black storks build large nests in tall trees or rocks, and feed mainly on fish, but also mollusks, chicks, and insects. The black stork inhabits along rivers, near swampy streams, and during breeding it inhabits remote and undisturbed open forests, forest valleys and forest swamps, and is also often found in lakes, reservoirs, canals, and streams.
