According to Gamerant, Fallout 76 used the "Vault Kids" fan art without the creator's permission.
It is reported that the content using the player's work comes from a bundle called "Flag Waving", and as with previous similar content, the first image of the bundle content is an introductory icon with the theme of the Vault Kid. According to the person concerned, this work was not created by Company B, but by Zack Finfrock.
He tweeted a comparison of the official picture and his work, and joked that if the official liked his work, he could draw a newer and better version.
Fallout 76 Creative Director Jonathan Rush later replied to the tweet and apologized, saying that the action was wrong, which he attributed to a "confusion with an outsourcer" and noted that the developers were replacing the images. Subsequently, the author also took this opportunity to make a formal contribution to the B Society, and the creative director gave a positive response to this.
