History and culture

Folklore

Painting of the Year of the Fallen Grey: Originated in the early Ming Dynasty. After its production style is to make a good belly draft, the artist uses willow charcoal strips to start the draft, and then uses the drawing paper to copy the online draft, a draft can be thrown several pieces, because of this trick, it is also "throwing ash" name. After the ash draft is thrown, it is then hand-drawn, and a beautiful painting can be drawn through a whole set of processes such as "big shabu crazy painting", "careful and skillful painting", "stroke drawing", "pink face", "shabu hand", "color", "eyebrow opening", "hook line", "shabu flower", "salt cauliflower", "gold drawing", and "painting oil".

Gaomi paper-cutting: A large number of immigrants during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty brought paper-cutting from other places, and the integration of host and guest gradually formed a unique style of high-density paper-cutting. First, the blocks and lines form black and white gray tones, which complement each other, have strong contrasts, and are full of rhythm. The second is that the paper is straight, thick and rough, and rich in heavy gold and stone meaning. The third is to be known for its ingenious ideas.
