Hayabusa Mizutani plays the last game in his hometown and announces the "end of his career"

On the 24th local time, the Japanese Table Tennis T League was held in Shizuoka Prefecture, and the Shizuoka-born table tennis player Mizutani Hayabusa appeared in the competition and announced his career "ended" after the game.

According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency reported on the 24th, in the match of the day, Mizutani Hayabusa and Zhang Benzhi and their partners doubles to win the opponent with a score of 2-0. In an interview after the match, Mizutani Hayabusa said, "This should be my last game. I thought the Olympics would be the final race, but it was postponed for another 3 months and it was finally over."

Hayabusa Mizutani, alongside Mimachi Ito at the Tokyo Olympics, won the first gold medal in table tennis in Japanese Olympic history. He announced his retirement after the Tokyo Olympics, but later said he might compete in some of the T-League, hoping that spectators would see themselves as a "fan".

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture, he has previously said he wants to play one last game in his hometown.
