On the afternoon of June 20, 2024, Stuart Frantz and Ella Frantz held a campaign for their good friend Josh Stein, Attorney General, in their mansion in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. A total of 200 people participated in the event. North Carolina Chinese representatives Wei Gaorong, Li Meng, Ke Xiuting, Huang Liqing, Song Danqi, Jiang Sundong, Wang Huimin and others were invited to attend the event.
At the beginning of the event, the organizers Stuart Franz and Ira Franz first delivered speeches, introducing Attorney General Josh Stein as a capable and hard-working person, who is deeply loved by the people of North Carolina. I hope that all of you here will support him, help him publicize, donate money to help him vote, and believe that he will definitely become the next governor of North Carolina. At the same time, the Franz couple affirmed the achievements of the current governor, Roy Cooper, over the past eight years, and hoped that he would remain with us without leaving his job.
The two singers then played the guitar and sang "Carolina In My Mind," a country song about their hometown.
In his speech, Governor Roy Cooper said that it is important to put great people in important positions. I have known Josh Stein for over twenty years and have had a lot of contact with him in his work, particularly his role as Attorney General. In the face of difficulties, he was determined and made decisions, and his determination and ingenuity made him fully qualified for the post of governor. We have already achieved some success in North Carolina, and I am confident that he will continue to lead North Carolina to greater success." I am very happy and excited to learn that he has finally decided to run for the governor's position, and I will fully support his candidacy in the coming days.
In his remarks, Attorney General Mr. Josh Stein began by thanking Governor Roy Cooper for his contributions to North Carolina over the past seven and a half years. Governor Cooper is a serious worker and is honored to be his subordinate, colleague, and friend. At the same time, thank you to all the friends who participated in the fundraising event.
Mr. Josh Stein said that North Carolina is our common home, not only with beautiful natural scenery, but also with the best educational institutions in the world, the best teachers, and the location of small businesses and Fortune 500 companies, and so on, North Carolina is enough to make us proud. I ran for governor because I love my hometown and believe in North Carolina's promise that if you work hard, no matter where you come from, it won't limit your success. We need to give our children and grandchildren a good education, whether they go to college or start a business, and have a better and brighter future than we do.
We need to support education and raise teachers' salaries. We need to grow the economy so that every North Carolina person has the opportunity to start a business and find a job that pays well, no matter where they are in the state. We also want to make sure that every North Carolina person has access to good medical care. No matter where you live, no matter how much money you have, you can be healed instead of going bankrupt. We also need to protect women's reproductive freedoms. If we can do that, we're fulfilling our promise to North Carolinas. In short, we need to put people first and fight for the people of North Carolina. Our vision is to make North Carolina a stronger economy, safer communities, better schools, and better protect people's freedoms.
Mr. Li Meng, President of the US-China Economic and Cultural Association, said that there are more and more Chinese people in North Carolina, and there are more and more Chinese communities, and with the increasing awareness of Chinese participation in politics, the influence of Chinese in North Carolina is also increasing. Governors, secretaries of state, members of Congress, state legislators, mayors, and city councilors are often seen in various activities held by the Chinese, and their participation is the best support for the Chinese community. This year is an election year in the United States, and I hope that all Chinese friends who have the right to vote will go to their homes and vote for those they like to trust, from the president to the school district commissioner. My greatest wish is that Chinese friends can discuss different points of view during the election process, but not to cause divisions; You can like to support any candidate from any party, while also respecting the views of others and different choices.
Mr. Wei Gaorong, the founding chairman of the US-China Economic and Cultural Association, said that he has lived in North Carolina for more than 40 years and has been committed to establishing friendly relations with previous governors and advocating for the Chinese American community. Roy Cooper has served as governor for nearly eight years, and has participated in many Chinese community activities and stood up for the Chinese. We now support the candidacy of Attorney General Mr. Josh Stein for governor, and hope that he will support and care more about the Chinese in North Carolina after he is elected. At the same time, regardless of which party you support, I hope that everyone will go to the polls on November 5 and exercise the democratic rights granted to citizens by the state.

In this hopeful and enthusiastic event, we witnessed the great expectations and firm determination for the future of North Carolina. I believe that with everyone's joint efforts and support, Mr. Josh Stein's campaign will be full of strength, and the future of North Carolina will be brighter. Let's work together to achieve prosperity, harmony and development in North Carolina. We look forward to celebrating more achievements and progress together when we meet next time!
