Speaking of Ye Linlang, I think the first thing that comes to everyone's mind is the image of several "female spies" she created on the big screen in the fifties and sixties.
One is Zi Liping in "Tracking the Tiger's Den".
The film was shot by Changying Studio and released in 1956. It tells the story of the early days of liberation, in a city in the north of the mainland, there was a group of hidden spies, constantly carrying out sabotage activities and stealing information. In order to catch them all, our scout Li Yonghe penetrated into the enemy's interior and finally captured these spies in one fell swoop.
Ye Linlang starred in it as a female spy named Zi Liping. This Zi Liping, through the introduction of the spy leader Cui Xizheng, entered the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce to work, and her public identity is the secretary, which is convenient for obtaining information on the entry and exit of materials. And her hidden mission is to use her position to pass on the information obtained to Cui Xizheng, the head of the secret service, and then Cui Xizheng will arrange the destruction of the situation according to the situation, and she has repeatedly succeeded.
Zi Liping doesn't look like the "female spy" image we are used to in other movies. She was dressed plainly, her hair was simple, and there was not even any trace of grease and powder on her face. She seems humble and sincere, both in her work and in conversation.
But the more well-behaved it is, the more deceptive it is.
So at the end of the film, when the director revealed Zi Liping's true identity, we were all extremely shocked.
Here, we have to sigh that Ye Linlang acted really well. She put an end to interpreting the image of Zi Liping, a female spy, through facial performance, but restored this role as low as possible and returned to life, what kind of state should it be. This makes her a great contrast and contrast with the image of other female spies in the film.
In 1960, Ye Linlang played the role of female spy Wang Manli in the anti-special film "Railway Guard" filmed by Changying Studio. This time, after she was lurking, her public identity was changed to a waiter on the train, but in fact she was a telegraph operator within the enemy's special forces, holding the enemy's activity plan and all the lists, but the destructive power was even stronger.
Ye Linlang continued her simple and introverted performance style, using simple clothes and a serious look to hide her true state. Only in front of "her own people" will she show her insidious and vicious side. Look, she put "Someone from overseas!" When the news told Wu Jichun, how impatient he was.
And how vicious she was in the alleys, cursing the enthusiastic people.
This role, because of Ye Linlang's wonderful performance, left us a very unforgettable impression.
In the movie "Railway Guard", there is also a "joint photo" taken by Wang Manli when she was inside the enemy. In the photo, she looks enchanting and beautiful. Therefore, she is also known by fans as "the most beautiful spy of Changying Studio".
Since then, Ye Linlang has also vividly interpreted the image of a female spy in the movie "Morning in the South China Sea" filmed by Changying Studio. It is really rare for a good actor like her to successfully create the image of several female spies on the screen in a row. Therefore, she deservedly won the title of "Screen Female Spy Professional".
But Ye Linlang, as the first batch of film actors trained by New China, actually has a very broad acting path.
And even if she doesn't become an actor, she will be able to make some achievements even if she is engaged in other professions.
Because during her study, she was a top student.
In January 1932, Ye Linlang was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu. When she was in school, her grades were always good. After graduating from Nanjing Mingde Girls' Church School in Nanjing, she was successfully admitted to the Foreign Language Department of Jinling Women's University. However, it was in this year that the mainland opened a film school in Beijing in order to cultivate film performance talents. Ye Linlang, who has loved acting since she was a child, gave up the opportunity to study at Jinling Women's University and applied for a film school instead, and was successfully admitted.
During her studies at school, Ye Linlang studied very hard and gained a lot. Not only did she rank among the best in her homework, but she also had a relationship with Zhang Hui, who was studying acting in her class.
In 1955, after graduating from film school, Ye Linlang and Zhang Hui were assigned to the Beijing Film Studio Actors Troupe as actors. In 1955, the two entered the Changying Studio. At that time, there were a lot of "Xiaosheng" and "Hua Dan" who entered Changying Studio at the same time, so there were many fewer opportunities to be assigned to Zhang Hui and Ye Linlang to play the male and female leads.
Under such circumstances, Ye Linlang took a unique path to study and develop towards comedy and villain. She first starred as a "gold worshipper" in the satirical comedy "So Amorous", and then starred as Zi Liping in "Tiger's Den Tracking".
With the success of one role after another, Ye Linlang's ability to shape the role has been recognized by the audience. Everyone naturally classified her into the ranks of the acting school. Even if she doesn't play the heroine many times, in the hearts of fans, she is still regarded as a movie star of Changying Studio.
In the later period, Ye Linlang played various "little people" and "small roles" on the screen. But the strange thing is that as long as it is the role she plays, no matter how many scenes she plays, she can leave a deep impression on everyone. Such as Wang Liyun in "Smiling and Happy", Liu Guilan in "Jin Yuji", Li Min in "The Gift of Summer Vacation", and Zhang Lin in "October Storm".
In her later years, she played the role of a mother in movies, which was also lifelike. The most rare thing is that she is one of the few actresses of her generation who has a strong sense of humor. The fat sister-in-law she played in "Little Characters", in "Love, What's Your Last Name?" The roles played by Mother Lin and Aunt Gu in "Looking Back and Laughing", even if there are only a few shots, can leave us with deep memories.
This is of course due to her ability to portray characters, and her deep line skills. The so-called "freezing three feet, not a day's cold" is also.
The recognition she has among fans is completely accumulated through her acting skills.
Her husband Zhang Hui, who first became an actor after entering Changying Studio, has also created several memorable roles on the screen, such as the instructor in "Dong Cunrui", the company commander in "Youth in War", the captain in "Ten Waves", and the second squad leader in "Visitors on the Iceberg", all of which are so lifelike.
Zhang Hui transformed into a director in the 70s, directing films such as "Half the Sky", "Yanqing Selling Line", and "The Story That Shouldn't Happen". Among them, "The Story That Shouldn't Happen" also won the Best Feature Film Award at the 7th Popular Film Hundred Flowers Award and the Special Jury Award at the 4th Golden Rooster Awards.
Ye Linlang and Zhang Hui contributed their youth and enthusiasm to the development of Changying Studio, and after the two retired, because their eldest son Zhang Yechuan was an actor in the Guangzhou Repertory Theatre, they went to Guangzhou to settle down for a while. Later, because their youngest son Zhang Yeshi was an actor in the Nanjing Repertory Theatre, and Ye Linlang's hometown was in Nanjing, they settled in Nanjing again.
In 2010, we saw the role of Grandma Liu played by Ye Linlang in the TV series "Dream of New Red Mansions" directed by Li Shaohong. This year, she is 78 years old, but she is getting stronger and stronger, and her performance charm has not diminished back then. The reviews of this drama were not very good after it was broadcast that year, but Ye Linlang's acting skills were unanimously recognized by everyone.
Ye Linlang and Zhang Hui have been in love with each other for decades, and they are inseparable. Until last year, that is, on April 6, 2023, Zhang Hui passed away due to illness at the age of 91.
The departure of her husband was, of course, a painful blow to Ye Linlang, who was also at an advanced age. But she still faced it all with strength and optimism.
Not long ago, Ye Linlang, who is 92 years old, accompanied by relatives and friends, once again returned to the long-lost Changying Studio, and returned to the place where she once worked and lived, with mixed feelings. She met many old colleagues and friends, and everyone reminisced about the good old days and talked happily.
Judging from the recent photos exposed by her, although the old lady is in a wheelchair because of her advanced age, gray hair, and not very dexterous legs and feet, she looks in a state of good spirits and full of smiles.
In the past, Changying Studio was so brilliant that it created countless popular movies and gave birth to countless well-known movie stars. Ye Linlang is one of them. But with the passage of time, Changying Studio has become the memory of many people, and most of the older generation of Changying people have left. So looking at Ye Linlang and the surviving Changying people, we feel very cordial. Here, I sincerely wish them good health! Good luck! #长文创作激励计划#
