China Youth Daily Client News (China Youth Daily, China Youth Network reporter Shen Jiequn) On October 22, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Torch Relay Story Short Film "Ice and Snow Covenant" premiered in Beijing and released on the whole network. Directed by director Ding Sheng and starring young actor Yi Qianxi and Chinese freestyle skier Gu Ailing, the film ignited the enthusiasm of the whole people with images as the Olympic flame embraced Beijing again.

"The Covenant of Ice and Snow" takes the "color and temperature" of the intersection of pure ice and snow and hot fire as the image, and conveys Chinese's unique understanding of ice and snow sports through the natural fusion of ice, snow and fire. In the film, under the illumination of the fire, the adventure boy played by Yi Qianxi lit up the prehistoric ski petroglyphs in the Tianshan Cave, started a journey through time and space, and experienced the joy of ice and snow sports with the ski girl Gu Ailing, who was reunited in the ice and snow world, and finally rushed to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics together.

"It's a great honor to receive this task, and there's a sense of mission." Ding Sheng, director of "The Covenant of Ice and Snow", said. All the magnificent scenes in the film were filmed on the ice and snow of China. At the beginning of 2021, the creative team led by Ding Sheng went back and forth to Xinjiang Altay and Kanas region, Changchun City and Jilin City in Jilin Province, Hulunbuir Grassland in Inner Mongolia and Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing, capturing the pure and eternal beauty of ice and snow in the vast world under the cold conditions of the lowest sensory temperature of minus 42 degrees Celsius.

Xinjiang Altay, where the "Covenant of Ice and Snow" was filmed, is also the origin of the most ice and snow sports in China. In 2005, in a mountain stream cave in Thekhamin township of Altay Khan, expedition members found petroglyphs of the late Paleolithic ancient Altay people pedaling skis and holding single-pole ski hunting. The mural illuminated by Yi Yi Qianxi in the film records the story of the ancient Altay people's first experience of the charm of ice and snow.

"The team has worked hard no less than any film work, and we also feel that we must reach the best level to fulfill the expectations of our friends who love ice and snow sports." According to the main creator, the seven ice and snow sports projects presented in the short film are all pure exterior displays, the team creates ice surfaces under natural conditions, shoots horses, captures sunrises, and the members all have frostbite of different degrees, just to truly shape the pure and natural beauty of ice and snow sports.
