On June 5, Li Yunfei, general manager of BYD's brand and public relations department, made his live broadcast debut, and together with Zhang Qi, vice president of NetEase Media, conducted a 100-kilometer fuel consumption test on BYD's new model Seal 06 DM-i in the form of "BOSS direct test".

Not long ago, on May 28, BYD officially released the fifth-generation DM technology, and "ultra-low fuel consumption" is the biggest selling point of the technology. The Seal 06 DM-i and Qin L DM-i were released at the same time as the first models of this technology.

According to official information, the seal 06 DM-i is positioned as a mid-level sedan, with a wheelbase of 2790mm, a length, width and height of 4830/1875/1495mm, a fuel consumption of 2.9L per 100 kilometers, and a price range of 99,800-139,800 yuan.

During the live broadcast of the fuel consumption test, Li Yunfei chose the test standard of "30% urban road + 70% urban expressway, SoC (remaining power) set at 15%, air conditioning set to 24°C automatic, and the car carrying two passengers, the main driver and co-driver". This is also a test environment that fits the actual car use scenarios of most car owners.

The actual test results show that the Seal 06 DM-i has a total driving range of 103.1km, a fuel consumption of 2.56L, and a fuel consumption of 2.48L per 100km. Considering that the remaining battery power of the vehicle is reduced from 15% to 13%, the actual converted fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is 2.54L.

The fuel consumption of 2.54L per 100 kilometers is lower than the 2.9L officially announced by BYD. Some netizens lamented that BYD once again "reversed the false standard".

During the live broadcast, Li Yunfei also answered questions from netizens, and responded to Yu Chengdong, chairman of Huawei's intelligent car solution BU, about the "BYD volume price".

At the 2024 Future Automobile Pioneer Conference on June 1, Yu Chengdong once said that in the global intelligent electric networked vehicles, the "volume king" should be BYD: "We are not good at rolling ultra-low prices, we are good at rolling value, rolling intelligence, luxury, comfort, high quality, safety, and excellent and comfortable user experience." ”
