In recent years, Huaxing Village, Lvhua Town, Chongming District, based on the advantages of ecological resources, has vigorously developed high-standard ecological breeding with green and low-carbon as the main tone, created a new business card of "Shanghai Crab Port", and actively explored a new model of "understory planting" to help the high-quality development of the countryside with "green economy". In 2023, the village-level operating income of Huaxing Village will reach 700,400 yuan, an increase of 2.32 times compared with 2022.
Fishery and light complement each other to create a "low-carbon crab" brand
"Crab" is a beautiful business card of Huaxing Village. More than 2,000 acres of clear water crab ponds are covered with continuous solar photovoltaic panels - this is the first phase of Huadian Chongming Lvhua Fishery and Photovoltaic Complementary Photovoltaic Power Generation Project. Different from ordinary crab ponds, in the hot summer, photovoltaic panels absorb sunlight and heat and convert them into electricity, and the natural shade formed under the panels provides a more comfortable and suitable growth environment for shade-loving crabs. This complementary mode of "water photovoltaic and underwater aquaculture" has started the business card of Huaxing's "low-carbon crab" and made it an important landmark of "Shanghai Crab Port".
Hu Huichun, secretary of the general party branch and director of the village committee of Huaxing Village, said that the new strain of river crab "Chongming No. 1" is selected here, and the variety of clear water crab bred is plump, delicious, and a large number of feet, and the male crab is expected to be more than half a catty, and the female crab is more than four and a half. "The laying of photovoltaic panels on the water is of great help to improve the survival rate of clear water crabs, and the size of the crabs raised under the photovoltaic panels is also 20% larger than that of traditional breeding methods, and the economic benefits of villagers' breeding will be significantly improved."
With the help of the location advantage of the clear water crab breeding base, Huaxing Village actively introduces diversified industries such as homestays, leisure, and parent-child to create a cultural and tourism industry chain with one-stop services for eating, living, traveling, and shopping, and promoting the upgrading of the whole chain of characteristic industries. In floating gardens, artificial green islands and other water landscapes, tourists can experience a variety of rural leisure activities such as watching movies and tasting crabs in rice fields, fishing in the water, picking fruits, etc., and have "in-depth exchanges" with crabs.
Circular planting drives farmers to increase their incomes and get rich
In recent years, Huaxing Village has been exploring a new path of "dual carbon transformation", carrying out understory planting around citrus orchards, and piloting compound circular planting such as "planting citrus on the forest and mushrooms under the forest". In the black fungus recycling planting base, villager Yu Jiangcai said while taking care of the black fungus, "Each fungus bag can pick about 1 kg of fresh black fungus, and this year is the first time to try to plant." Tourists buy mushroom packets and water them every day, so they can eat fresh black fungus at any time. It is understood that Huaxing Village takes advantage of the free citrus growth period to spread black fungus sticks under citrus trees, and after the black fungus harvest period is over, the waste fungus sticks or fungus residue can be made into organic fertilizer to provide rich nutrients and a healthy growth environment for citrus trees. At present, the village committee has established cooperative relations with relevant enterprises, adopted the joint sales model of "village enterprises and cooperatives", and initially realized the integrated chain of "seed production and marketing".
"Compound circular planting is one of the new models to promote the high-quality development of the collective economy and drive farmers to increase their income and get rich. "Rural development cannot be one-size-fits-all, it must have its own characteristics." Today, Huaxing Village has implemented "low-carbon practices" in all corners of the village. Huaxing Village drove the villagers to implement the rooftop photovoltaic pilot project, replacing the traditional tiles with low-carbon photovoltaic tiles, and adopting the model of "self-generation and self-consumption, surplus electricity on the grid", which can generate about 4,000 kWh of electricity per household every year. The remodeled solar roof looks little different from a regular tile roof in appearance. "At present, 14 villagers have carried out pilot installation, in addition to the daily electricity consumption of the family, the excess electricity is connected to the grid so that the villagers can enjoy the dividends of photovoltaic surplus electricity. This not only saves energy and reduces emissions, but also allows villagers to enjoy the 'sunshine benefits' brought by rooftop photovoltaics. ”
In the process of rural revitalization, Huaxing Village renovated a 180-square-meter low-carbon research hall, added low-carbon technology facilities and intelligent interactive facilities, and created a comprehensive activity venue. Interesting photovoltaic creative points such as photovoltaic street lamps and photovoltaic seats have been added within the village area to facilitate the charging of villagers' mobile phones and battery cars. Combined with the low-carbon Huaxing research base, photovoltaic plank road, etc., Huaxing Village has also created a photovoltaic science tour line, integrating rural cultural and tourism elements, forming an integrated platform for green energy, modern agriculture, cultural tourism and leisure, and popular science education, promoting the common development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and achieving a win-win situation of environmental, social and economic benefits.
The renewal of the industry has also improved the quality of life of the villagers. Through the construction of people's livelihood projects, the special action of village cleaning, the transformation of "small three parks", and the classification and collection of domestic garbage, the appearance of Huaxing Village has undergone great changes, the roads and rivers are clean and tidy, the villagers live and work in peace and contentment, and the village is a thriving scene.
