The Bohai Bay Basin is an important oil and gas basin in the eastern part of the mainland, with a cumulative proven oil reserve of 15.9 billion tons, accounting for 42% of the national total, and an annual output of more than 75 million tons of crude oil, which has played an important role in ensuring the long-term stability of domestic crude oil production at the level of 200 million tons. Focusing on the theme of "Focusing on the Green and Low-Carbon Development of Oil and Gas Fields and Building an Energy Super Basin in Bohai Bay", the seminar focused on key technologies in the fields of conventional oil and gas, deep oil and gas, unconventional oil and gas, gas storage, CCUS, new energy, and digital intelligence, so as to effectively promote the sustainable and high-quality development of oil and gas field enterprises in Bohai Bay. On the issue of achieving sustainable and stable production in the Bohai Bay Basin, the experts at the meeting generally believed that it is necessary to accelerate the research and development and application of revolutionary innovative technologies, activate the potential for continuous growth in oil and gas production, and shoulder the important task of ensuring national energy security for a long time.
In the face of profound changes in the global energy landscape and the acceleration of clean and low-carbon energy transformation, the seminar proposed that it is the general trend to promote the construction of energy super basins, fully tap the potential of oil and gas resources in the Bohai Bay Basin, and accelerate the planning of strategic emerging industries and future industrial development. Bohai Bay oil and gas field enterprises should jointly promote the interaction and mutual promotion of exploration and development innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain and talent chain, jointly build strategic emerging industrial clusters with international competitiveness, jointly accelerate the development of new quality productive forces, and make new and greater contributions to the great prosperity of domestic oil and gas exploration and development.
The seminar was co-sponsored by five petroleum and petrochemical societies from Liaoning Province and Tianjin, as well as seven Bohai Bay oil and gas field enterprises from PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC, and became a bridge and link for Bohai Bay oil and gas field enterprises to exchange ideas, display achievements and pass on friendship.
