Recently, the transplanting of peppers in various parts of the town is in full swing, and farmers have seized the agricultural time, planted patches of new green, and sowed a good "money" scene of a bumper harvest.
On May 17, in Wumu Village, Dongping Town, the pepper transplanting site was a busy scene. This year, the village has introduced an advanced pepper planting machine, through mechanized operations, one-time completion of multiple steps such as digging holes, transplanting, and soil covering, which greatly improves the transplanting efficiency and reduces labor intensity. At the same time, the application of drip irrigation technology under the integrated membrane of water and fertilizer ensures that the water of pepper seedlings is sufficient, and lays a solid foundation for the vigorous growth and bumper harvest of peppers. The strong leadership of the party branch of Wumu Village and the hard work of the villagers have jointly painted a new picture of "pepper" irrigation farmers to increase their income and get rich.
"Last year, 15 acres of peppers were planted in the village, which was expanded to 45 acres this year, and a planting machine was introduced, which not only saved labor, but also improved the transplanting speed." Yuan Baohe, secretary of the party branch of Wumu Village, is full of confidence in the development of the pepper industry, and he firmly believes that through the joint efforts of everyone, there will be a better harvest this year.
In Changfa Village, Jianping Township, the distribution of pepper seedlings is nearing completion. Li Zhiming, deputy secretary of the village party branch, introduced that this year's courtyard economy planted 150 acres of peppers, involving 64 farmers, the current distribution rate has exceeded 80%, and it is expected that all transplanting work will be completed within 2 to 3 days. In a small farm yard in Pingbao Village, villager Yang Baoguo and migrant workers are busy transplanting peppers. He planted 1,500 square meters of peppers this year and enjoyed the government's subsidy policy. The government's support for the garden pepper industry has given Yang Baoguo confidence in this year's planting.
In recent years, the Jianping Township Party Committee has given full play to its leading role and led the villagers to plant chili peppers through the development of courtyard economy. This year, a total of 1409.1 acres of chili peppers were planted in the township, involving 518 farmers, and recycling agreements were signed with relevant enterprises to achieve production and marketing docking. At the same time, combined with various support policies, the enthusiasm of the villagers to plant courtyard peppers was further stimulated.
On the road of rural revitalization, Zhentai County actively responded to the decision-making and deployment of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, took industrial revitalization as the core strategy, and made every effort to promote the development of the pepper industry. By constructing a courtyard pepper industry development pattern of "county-level layout, township co-ordination, village community promotion, and party members taking the lead", it provides a solid organizational guarantee for the vigorous development of the pepper industry. This year, the county's pepper planting area reached 5,877 acres, an increase of 531% over last year. With the in-depth promotion of pepper transplanting, 23 million pepper seedlings in the county will be fully transplanted by the end of this month.
