May 18, 2024 is the 48th International Museum Day. This year's theme, "Museum for Education and Research," highlights the critical role of cultural institutions in providing a holistic educational experience. In order to expand the influence of Museum Day, give full play to the social and educational functions of museums, and better serve the society, Xinglong County Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Television, and Xinglong County Museum have carried out mobile exhibitions into the county vocational and technical education center schools and Xiguan communities in combination with the theme of Museum Day.

Through illustrated exhibitions and commentators patiently and meticulously explained, the students and residents were told about the history of Xinglong's Anti-Japanese War and Sun Yongqin's heroic deeds of resisting Japan, inheriting the red gene, so that more people could understand the history of Xinglong's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and deeply feel the heroic deeds and selfless dedication of the revolutionary ancestors.

During the event, publicity materials such as the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics, the Regulations on the Protection of the Great Wall, and the Regulations on Museums were distributed to the audience, and the opening hours of the museum, bus routes and other related services were introduced to the audience.

Through this activity, the majority of students and community residents have an in-depth understanding of the history of Xinglong's Anti-Japanese War and touching heroic deeds. Inspire people to remember history, cherish the present, shoulder responsibility, and forge ahead. It is not only necessary to inherit and carry forward the fine tradition of revolutionary martyrs, but also to integrate the red spirit into daily life and work. In the future work, we will continue to play a good role as a mobile museum, so that more people can enjoy the cultural services of the museum, and convey the profound historical culture and patriotism education to visitors in an easy-to-understand way and simple language.
