According to the relevant person in charge, the Nyingchi Mental Health and Welfare Institute is a second-level institution under the Civil Affairs Bureau, and from now until August is the trial operation stage of the welfare institute, and it will be officially put into operation thereafter. Relying on public welfare, the welfare institute provides comprehensive and professional medical treatment, assistance, rehabilitation and care services for groups with mental disorders with special difficulties, so that the local people can feel the care and warmth of "home". Its opening has further improved the civil welfare system and marked a solid step forward in the field of mental health in Nyingchi City.

Nyingchi Mental Health and Welfare Institute (Nyingchi Hospice Psychological Hospital) is located opposite the public village industrial park of Bayi Town, Bayi District, with convenient transportation and elegant environment. As the only large-scale specialized medical institution for mental and psychiatric diseases in Nyingchi City, it integrates prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, and provides a number of comprehensive mental disorder integrated services such as mental health outpatient diagnosis and treatment, psychological counseling, crisis intervention, inpatient treatment, and psychological counseling.
In order to let more citizens understand the importance of mental health, recently, the welfare institute also organized a public welfare science popularization activity, introducing that in the early stage of operation, the welfare institute plans to admit 100 inpatients of various types, and gradually increase the number of beds according to the actual situation of patient needs, talent introduction and equipment operation. At the same time, the welfare institute also actively initiated the establishment of the Nyingchi Mental Health Association to provide more comprehensive mental health services for the public.
