Henan is located in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, with a perennial wheat sowing area of more than 85 million mu, ranking first in the country. From the perspective of geographical conditions, the topography of Henan Province is high in the west and low in the east, and the plains and basins suitable for large-scale agricultural planting cover an area of 93,000 square kilometers, which provides good prerequisites for large-scale cultivation of wheat. From the climatic point of view, Henan is located in the middle of the continent, and the abundant light and heat resources provide favorable conditions for wheat planting. At the same time, the Yellow River, Huai River, Haihe River and other water systems also provide a guarantee for agricultural irrigation, making Henan a well-deserved "hometown of wheat", with the output accounting for about 1/4 of the country's wheat output.

This year is the first year of the mainland's wheat yield improvement action, Henan Province to improve wheat yield as the main direction of attack, to promote the integration of good land, good seeds, good methods, good opportunities, good systems "five good". At the same time, 7 million acres of high-yield wheat demonstration areas will be built in high-standard farmland built-up areas, and high-yield technologies will be integrated and promoted to build a solid foundation for bumper harvests.
During the "Three Summers" period, Henan plans to invest more than 4 million units (sets) of agricultural machinery, including 200,000 sets of combine harvesters and 30,000 sets (sets) of crawler harvesters.
Wang Junzhong, deputy director of the Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said that 10 policies to help farmers and benefit farmers in the "three summers" were formulated, and 400 reception service stations were set up in key areas and trunk roads to provide service guarantee for cross-regional operations. After the start of the "three summers", we will also provide agricultural mechanics with information services such as machine harvesting operations and weather forecasts through the service platform.
In view of the individual lodging plots caused by the recent extreme weather, Henan has formulated remedial measures as soon as possible, sent technical personnel to go deep into the front line to guide, and promoted wheat filling by spraying potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution to minimize the losses caused by disasters.
At the same time, in order to prevent the impact of extreme weather during the harvest period, Henan also supports all kinds of business entities to speed up the construction of grain drying facilities, and has built 580 drying facilities, with an additional daily drying capacity of 37,000 tons.
Wang Junzhong, deputy director of the Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said that 313 regional agricultural machinery service centers and 716 agricultural machinery emergency operation service teams will be built in the province.
