Juqian Street Primary School invites Gu Qiliang to tell red stories on campus every year, so that children can experience patriotic education. Gu Qiliang is also the person in charge of the pro-army association, he and his lover Mao Qinhua organized the establishment of the North Shore Art Troupe, they arrange their own programs, every year on Army Day, this team will go to the barracks with deep "veteran" emotions to perform, condolences to veterans, and encourage recruits. Although Gu Qiliang is over eighty years old, he still cherishes the deep affection for his military career, and he led the members of the troupe to show the colorful military life with singing and dancing, expressing their heroic feelings of retirement without fading and retiring.
