The visa-free policy is officially in effect
On May 17, 2024, the Cuban government announced that from now on, Chinese citizens holding valid ordinary passports can enjoy a visa-free policy for entering and leaving Cuba, transiting or staying in Cuba for a period of no more than 90 days (from the date of entry). Chinese citizens who stay in Cuba for more than 90 days are still required to apply for a visa. In addition, Chinese citizens who come to Cuba to work, study, reside or report on the news must apply for a visa before entering Cuba.
The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Cuba reminds Chinese citizens to abide by local laws, regulations and customs, not to engage in activities inconsistent with their status, and to strengthen security precautions and self-protection.
