事實上,蘋果在無創監測血糖的這條道路上,早已部署數多年。

早在2010年,蘋果低調收購血液監測創業公司RareLight,開啟了血糖監測創新手段的研發工作。蘋果組建了一支小型的生物醫學工程團隊,通過一家名為“Avolante Health LLC”的初創公司,秘密進行血糖監測功能的研發。

2014年,谷歌宣布推出一款可通過淚液檢測血糖的智能接觸式透鏡。這款隐形眼鏡平台概念産品包含了無線控制晶片、縮微電化學轉換器以及天線,并嵌入了水凝膠骨架,用于對周圍的眼淚進行葡萄糖無創檢測,不過在第二年這款産品便“銷聲匿迹”。

除此之外,微軟也從事過相關項目,但也并沒有下文了。
