"Sunshine Sisters" is a Korean comedy film released on May 4, 2011, directed by director and screenwriter Kang Hyung-cheol, starring Shim Eun-kyung, Kang So-ra, Min Hyo-rim, etc. It tells the story of being a member of the small group of "Seven Princesses" Sunny in middle school, and reuniting again after 25 years to find the memories of youth belonging to that era.
The 124-minute regular version of the film was released in South Korea on May 4, 2011.
Sunshine Sisters Tao plot
The film tells the humorous story of middle-aged women in the middle school sister group "Sunny", who once called themselves "Seven Princesses", who reunite after 25 years and find memories of their youth.
Transfer student Nami (played by Shim Eun-kyung) has just transferred from a small town in Jeolla Province to a new school in Seoul. She spoke in tongues due to being too nervous. On her first day of starting a new school, she is bullied by a group of students who are helped by a group of girls: Chunhwa (played by Kang So-ra), who is good at fighting, Rose (played by Kim Min-young), who desperately wants to cut her double eyelids, Jin-hee (played by Park Jin-joo), who is very good at scolding, Kim Ok (played by Nam Bo-ra), a literary girl, Bok-hee (played by Kim Bo-mi), who dreams of becoming Miss Korea one day, and Suzy (played by Min Hyo-rim), who is always arrogant. Nami quickly became part of the group of girls. They also changed the name of their team to "Sunny". They vow to be together forever, however, while they are preparing for the school celebration show, an incident occurs that causes the girls to part ways.
Twenty-five years later, Nami (Yoo Yoo Yoo-jung) is married to a successful businessman and has a beautiful daughter, and her life seems perfect, but she always feels that something is missing in her life.
One day, while visiting her mother in the hospital, Nami accidentally meets Chunhua (played by Chen Hee-qiong), and they are ecstatic to see each other. But Nami learns the fact that Haruka is a cancer patient and only has two months left. When Nami asks Haruka if there's anything she can help with. Haruka makes a request, and that is to hope that Nami can find the other members of "Sunny".
