On May 19, the Huangcao Wujiang Bridge of the Chongqing-Hunan Double-track Expressway, which was invested by China Railway Construction Chongqing Investment Group and constructed by China Railway 15th Bureau Group, was successfully closed, laying a solid foundation for the early opening of the Chongqing-Hunan Double-track Expressway.
Huangcao Wujiang Bridge is located in Jiangkou Town, Wulong District, connecting Huangcao Tunnel and Garden Tunnel, the bridge is 1702 meters long, the main span length is 220 meters, the span on both sides is 115 meters, the main span of the bridge is located on the Wujiang River, the height difference between the bridge deck and the highest navigable water level on the river surface is 181 meters, which is equivalent to 65 floors high. The safety management and control risk of high-altitude work on the bridge is high, the construction technology is complex, and the precision requirements are high.
It is understood that up to now, the Chongqing-Hunan double-track high-speed project has achieved 136 bridges and 60 tunnels on the whole line, and 280 kilometers of roadbed have been basically connected, and it is expected to achieve the goal of opening Banan to Wulong and Pengshui to Youyang this year.
The project is not only the largest single expressway project in the city, but also one of the most difficult projects in the history of Chongqing expressway construction. After completion and opening to traffic, it will effectively alleviate the congestion of the existing Chongqing-Hunan Expressway and further improve the high-speed transportation network in the southeast of Chongqing, which is of great significance for further developing tourism resources along the route, promoting the integration of transportation and tourism, and driving the economic and social development along the route.
